    Ancestry, FamilySearch, MyHeritage, Gramps, Family Tree Maker. They all export GEDCOM, and the export takes about a minute. If you have done genealogy, this file exists.

  2. Open it here. It stays here.

    The file is read inside your browser. No upload, no account, no copy of your family on our servers. Living relatives stay off the internet, which is where they belong.

  3. Print the whole thing

    Pick a chart type and a style, get a print-ready PDF sized from A3 up to a wall banner. Take it to any print shop, or tile it over regular pages on your own printer. The free preview carries a watermark. $29 removes it, once, forever.

Your family stays your business

A GEDCOM holds birth dates and addresses of people who are alive right now. That is exactly the file you should not hand to another website. Whole Tree Press parses and lays out the tree entirely on your machine. The only thing that ever leaves your browser is the PDF you choose to save.

Short answers

What is a GEDCOM?
The standard export format of genealogy. On Ancestry it is under Tree Settings, then Export tree. Every serious program reads and writes it, some since 1984.
How big can the tree be?
Big is the point. Descendant charts, ancestor charts and full trees with hundreds or thousands of people. If it will not fit one sheet legibly, you will see that in the preview before paying anything.
What do I need?
A current browser. Windows, Mac, Linux, whatever. There is nothing to install.
